Home

Established in 1948, Dublin University Photography Association (DUPA) is the photography society of Trinity College Dublin. We offer members the opportunity to improve their photography skills, while providing a forum for exhibiting their work.

Society of the Year Awards 2010

Nominated for four awards. Won two:

  • Best Medium Society of the Year
  • Special achievement award for Gabriele Pierantoni, our current class officer and former chairperson

    Lessons on everything including taking better photographs, using an SLR camera, Adobe Photoshop, studio portraiture work and darkrooms.

    Want to print some digital photos? Avail of our member’s discounts at John Gunn Camera Shop on Wexford Street and Conn’s Cameras on Clarendon Street and save yourself a fortune.
  4. Facilities
    As a member, you’ll get free access to our two darkrooms and the opportunity to borrow film SLR cameras, digital SLR cameras, lenses, tripods, flashguns and photography books.
  5. Receptions
    We’ll have major exhibitions throughout the year. Show off your work or just relax and enjoy our free refreshments.

How to Join

Come along to our committee room any Wednesday during term between 14:00 and 15:00. If you’re not able to come at that time, email us at dupa AT csc.tcd.ie. Membership is open to students, staff and alumni who were DUPA members.
